Cityscape 2095 is the result of a collaboration between Yannick Jacquet (AntiVJ) and Swiss illustrator Marc Ferrario aka Mandril.
Though using different techniques of expression their work is heavily influenced by architecture. The core idea of this project is to create a sense of the passing of a day in an imaginary city, in fast-forward.
The spectator is at the top of a tower, facing a huge “world city”. A mix of various architectural influences are used to create a dystopian city which feels strangely familiar but also impossible to locate. Thomas Vaquié’s sound design helps reinforcing the « disturbing strangeness » element of the city.
